One of the most frequent calls we make across Metro Atlanta, chimney repair, is common, especially as fall and winter approach when homeowners start using fireplaces again. The chimney on a masonry house receives more weathering damage than any other part of the home. Since the upper portion is exposed to the rain, wind, and sun on all sides.

One of the most frequent problems we inspect is a cracked chimney crown, that is the cap on top of your chimney that keeps water out. Water aside from rainwater is getting inside the chimney structure when the top cracks. Damage may go undetected at first but can become serious. Also, it may include metal parts inside the flue rusting and mortar between bricks crumbling. We repair loose or crumbling bricks, brick that flakes or breaks apart from repeated freezing and thawing, and damaged flashing–the metal strip between the chimney and the roof–which is often the source of leaks into the house itself.

We examine the entire chimney top to bottom before any repairs since the issue at the top of the chimney usually causes damages down the chimney that is hidden from eye view on the ground. The extra exposure to the weather makes mortar joints on a chimney wear out more quickly than mortar on the rest of a home, so chimney repair work commonly includes repointing.

When you have a damaged chimney, you may find it inconvenient. Cracks and gaps can allow water to seep into your attic and walls. Additionally, if your chimney has structural damage, it can possibly become unsafe to use in the future. No matter where you live in Buckhead, Marietta, Roswell or anywhere else in the metro, we solve the problem at its source so your chimney is safe and ready for the next fireplace season.

 Why Choose Us

Benefits of Chimney Repair

  • Your chimney will become safe to use and will not present a fire or water hazard. Furthermore, any hidden damage to your chimney will be repaired through chimney restoration.
  •  Prevents leaking water from entering the attic and walls due to a cracked crown or faulty flashing.
  • The whole roof will be protected as chimney leaks can also damage surrounding roofing and ceilings.
  • With right repairs done at the right time, your chimney can last for years to come. Get your fireplace ready for the season, especially ahead of fall and winter.

Our Process

We check the entire chimney top to bottom because damage at the top can cause problems further down that are hidden.

The crown, flashing, brick, and mortar joints are examined for cracks, gaps, and wear.

We start by repairing or replacing the chimney crown because that’s what stops the water from invading the entire system. Loose, cracked or spalling brick is repaired to match the existing chimney.

Repointing helps sections of a building or chimney where weather has sped up wear. We conduct a final chimney safety inspection to review the structural integrity and confirm it is safe for use.

Area we Serve

We provide chimney repair services across Buckhead, Marietta, Roswell, and Metro Atlanta. Chimney repair is one of our most-requested metro-wide services, especially as fireplace season approaches in the weeks before use.
