When paving project are rushed, they are prone to failure due to the clay soil of Georgia.  Whenever we are installing interlocking pavers or a paved driveway, we dig down the right depth, compact a stone base and set edge restraints to make sure the whole surface is locked into place as the soil around it naturally shifts from wet to dry seasons. Most pavements become loose, settle down or develop weeds in their joints after a year or two because one step or another has been skipped.

We construct stylish driveways made using interlocking pavers to achieve a sophisticated look or paved surfaces in larger areas that are practical and durable. Our Method

1. Before offering our paving recommendation, we evaluate your site’s drainage patterns and traffic needs.
2. Excavation and grading direct water from your structures by excavating and grading the area.
3. A compacted stone base is installed, sized for expected traffic and use. This is base compaction. 
4. Asphalt, pavers or your surface finish is installed using a proper edge restraint.
5. As needed, finishing details, such as striping, curb installation, or joint sand, is added.
6. At the final walkthrough, we review the site with you. 

Areas We Cover

Our paving services are available in Lynwood Park, Cascade, East Cobb, Roswell, and Metro Atlanta. The paver patio and walkway work in one of our most active areas is Lynwood Park’s walkable streets. 

Pavers that dip down in one area, joints where sand is gone and weeds have taken over, edges that are spreading out, a patio that puddles instead of drains, and steps that are out of level.

The root cause of nearly all of these can be traced to the base. Pavers themselves seldom fail. It is what’s below that fails. 

Patios and walkways made with pavers range from $12 to $25 per square foot. A driveway-rated base is needed for paver driveways. You could expect to pay around $8,000 for an outdoor kitchen. However, this number quickly rises with the addition of appliances and utilities.

 Fire pits cost between $1,500 and $5,000. 



Poured concrete is cheaper than pavers initially. Pavers are pricier but you can lift and reset individual units instead of replacing an entire slab. Over the course of twenty years, math is closer like nlk and day one. 

A walkway is about two to four days. A porch, five to ten. A patio containing steps, seat walls and a fire pit (2-3 weeks). It would take utilities three to four weeks for an outdoor kitchen. 

Here are the very simple questions to ask any hardscaper you are considering: How deep do you excavate and how many lifts do you compact?

Our clay holds moisture, thus it is more important here than elsewhere. A base that is poorly compacted and saturated clay underneath leads to settlement and settling which shows up first as a low spot that collects a puddle.

Joint sand made of polymer is another detail. It stiffens in the joints and protects against washouts and weeds. Normal sand gets washed away in first heavy storm of Georgia. 

Due to the size of the lots in Lynwood Park, where a well-constructed patio comprises most of the usable backyard, the layout matters just as much as the materials. Cascade properties have large properties with well-established trees, and we work around the root systems. Smyrna comprises both teardowns of older homes and 1960s ranches. Consequently, we frequently match new hardscape with an older home.
