All your patios will come with a compacted gravel base and drainage slope to allow water to fall away from the house rather than pool near the foundation. This is especially important in Georgia where the area receives heavy rains annually. Depending on how you choose to use the patio area, we can finish it as a plain broom-finished concrete, a stamped pattern that mimics stone or brick, or with an exposed aggregate finish which shows off the natural stone mixed into the concrete for a texture that remains slip-resistant.

Patios are often tied to other features in a backyard, for instance a walkway to the driveway or steps down to a lower yard, and we will design the whole layout together. As a result, everything works together and flows naturally instead of looking like separate pieces. For swimming pool homes, we offer slip-resistant finishes in concrete (which is different from the usual patio finish) designed especially for pool deck areas since a wet concrete surface requires more texture.

Our Process

1. We, therefore, work on the patio layout together, including how it connects with your yard, home and existing features.
2. We dig out and level the area, add in a compacted gravel base and a drainage slope.
3. To withstand cracking due to soil movement, steel reinforcement is added for added sturdiness.
4. You may choose the finish like broom, stamp or exposed aggregate to pour and finish concrete.
5. Allow the patio to cure entirely prior to putting furniture or foot traffic on it.
6. Before concluding the job, we conduct a final walkthrough of the finished space.
