At Kingsley, the homeowners call for driveway repair more than anything else. Cracks, sunken sections or crumbling edges are common in older driveways after years of Georgia’s heavy rain and shifting clay. A damaged driveway usually requires the appropriate repair for whatever is causing the damage. Maximum damage may require full replacement of the driveway.

We approachvarioustypes of drivewaydamage in a unique way. If cracksforming in the surface do not extend, they are sealed to preventwater from enteringbelow and causingproblemslater on. Leveling is a liftingtechniquewhere the portion of driveway that has sunklower that rest of driveway is raised back into correctposition.Sections that are most not level are usually the edgepartsnearest to yard. This is where the drainage is weakest. This approach can occurwithout the need to teardown the entireslab. We repair and strengthenedges that are breaking or eroding, which occurs as a result of years of lawnequipment and vehicletrafficweakening the unsupportededge.

We check the damage in your appliancebeforerecommendingrepairs. If you noticecracks in your driveway that follow a pattern, there may be a problem with the base or drainageinstead of normalwear.  If the underlyingcause is not corrected, then there would be a return of the crackpatternwithin one or two years of the repair of the surface.

If you own a house in Kingsley or anywhereelse in MetroAtlanta, you likely have an agingdriveway that needsrepairing. In nearlyeverycircumstance, this is the morerealistic first step and will often buy you yearsextralife from a drivewayuntilcompletereplacement is necessary.
