We excavate a footing trench of sufficient depth to support the wall height with compacted gravel base added. This base distributes the wall's weight evenly, preventing it from sinking or tilting with time. We will put a drainage pipe and gravel backfill behind the wall so the rainwater will have somewhere to go instead of just building up against the wall from behind. In Georgia, the most common cause of retaining wall failure is poor drainage, which is one step some contractors omit to save time.

We construct new walls from segmental block, poured concrete, natural stone or brick, whatever height you need and the look of your home. Shorter walls less than four feet tend to be easy. In most Metro Atlanta counties, including Fulton, Cobb, and DeKalb, engineered drawings and a building permit will be required for walls over four-feet tall. Our Approach

4. As we go, we build a wall block by block, taking diagonal measurements. Our grading of the area around the finished wall enables water to run away from the wall.
